Overview

Broadbean Technology is Europe's leading provider of multiple job posting and applicant source tracking solutions. A young company, Broadbean are leaders and innovators in the market and growing rapidly. Striving to expand their already strong team with opportunities in sales, marketing, technology, account management, administration, finance and office management, Broadbean turned to Chameleon-i for an integrated, functional recruitment microsite to list their vacancies and maximise their growth..

Challenges

Broadbean employees hail from all over London and travel to reach the head office based in Canary Wharf. In order to attract a wide ranging and adept workforce Broadbean required a dedicated vacancy section featured on their existing website that would allow potential employees to register, view and apply for jobs online. Ricky Wheeler, Marketing Director for Broadbean commented, "We are always keen to embrace the latest web technologies and it was important that jobs could be auto-published instantly to our website and offer real-time job application". Broadbean needed a solution that would provide a seamless transition between their already well established website, incorporating their corporate branding while also allowing their HR staff to easily manage the microsite internally, without the need to pursue the in-house technical team for changes.

Process

Broadbean were keen to ensure a consistency in the style of the microsite. It needed to be visually engaging with an emphasis on the structure of the content to enable users to easily find information and apply for vacancies. "Brand is very important for us and we wanted to keep to the style of our new look website, but also make it easy for people to identify and respond to our job adverts" added Wheeler.

RSS feeds were implemented by the development team to support Broadbeans existing search engine optimisation (SEO) practices to help to drive more targeted traffic to the microsite and increase their exposure.

While the microsite was in development, on-site training was arranged to help the Broadbean HR team use the software and content management system (CMS) so they could be up to speed quickly and easily.



Results

The seamless integration of the microsite into Chameleon-i and Broadbeans existing site has proved to be integral to their hiring process, providing the necessary platform to fully integrate their vacancies and enable the team to work more efficiently. "Chameleon-i has made a huge difference in helping our HR team to consistently manage our applications, giving them complete control of the whole process."

The RSS feeds have positively illustrated how they can work towards increased ranking and relevance by search engines and as a result the Broadbean microsite is generating a healthy number of applicants with a marked improvement in the quantity of potential employees.
