Fast facts about Chameleons
Chameleons change color in response to changes in temperature, light, mood, emotions and it's also a way of communicating between each other. Although they can't camouflage themselves by matching their surroundings.
There are 140 different species of Chameleon with new species being discovered all the time.
The Chameleons tongue is both sticky and lightning-fast and can be as much as 1.5 times the length of their body.
As well as independently moving eyes that enable Chameleons to see in two different directions at once, they are also ultra-violet (UV) sensitive.
