Changes to user settings for bulk email
4/23/2009 12:00:00 AM
Chameleon-i's development team have made some modifications to the set up of the bulk email tool to help enforce current email legislation and best practice.
Setting permission for Bulk Email
All bulk email will now be delivered via individual SMTP and requires the system administrator to set permission for each user by changing the settings held in the Admin panel, Users tab.
You don't need to make any changes unless you want to alter the bulk email permissions for each of your users.
Could you be spamming your contacts?
Take our quick test to see if you satisfy many of the guidelines of best practice email marketing...
1. Are you emailing anyone who hasn't opted-in or had a pre-existing business relationship with your agency?
2. Do you send to service email accounts with unnamed addresses, for example: admin@, info@, help@, jobs@?
3. Do you bulk email your contacts without including a working unsubscribe link or option to unsubscribe?
4. Have you purchased a list of email addresses that you market to?
5. Do your Email recipients find it difficult to clearly identify the sender and content?
